The wait is over. Fortnite Blitz Royale has officially dropped and it's built for speed, chaos, and mobile gameplay. This new 32-player Battle Royale mode throws you into the action with a five-minute timer, making it perfect for on-the-go gaming. Whether you're commuting or killing time between matches, Blitz Royale brings the heat without the wait.
How Blitz Royale Works
Every match kicks off with all players receiving a random Medallion or powerful weapon, leveling the playing field. With a smaller map and fast-moving storm circles, players must quickly eliminate opponents and survive to increase their Blitz Level. The higher your level, the better your loadout. Keep an eye out for Golden Chests and Supply Drops loaded with power-ups and extra Medallions.
Boons, Not Buffs
Blitz Royale introduces "Boons" in-match power-ups that evolve your strategy with each drop. These temporary boosts keep gameplay dynamic and make every decision count.
Solo or Squad Up
Take on the Blitz alone or roll deep with a squad of four. The mode is live until July 15, with weekly gameplay twists to keep things fresh:

Week 1 (June 18): Launch Week — Mythic weapons like Rocket Ram in rare Golden Llamas.

Week 2 (June 24): Avatar Returns — Avatar-inspired Pagodas and Bending Scrolls hit the map.

Week 3 (July 1): Bad Bosses — Boss drops like Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and Blitz Chain of Hades.

Week 4 (July 8): TMNT Melee Mayhem — Melee weapons from TMNT plus Blitz exclusives like Nitro Fists and Typhoon Blade.
Earn Exclusive Rewards
Dominate the Blitz to unlock:

Blitz Knight Outfit — Earn 10 Account Levels or place Top 10 in 20 Blitz Royale matches.

Blitz ‘Brella Glider — Win 3 Blitz matches to glide in gold.
Both rewards are unlockable until July 15 at 9 AM ET. After that, they may hit the Fortnite Shop.
New Training Grounds
Replacing Team Rumble, Training Grounds gives you unlimited respawns in a fixed location to practice without pressure. Like Blitz Royale, there’s no building it’s pure combat.
